Points

  1. Candlelight  Reading – Shirley Vivian

Good technique, warm colours, well thought out and well composed, good mood, well lit

7

  1. Let There Be Height – Phil Thornton

Excellent technique, well seen, well lit, bold composition with minimal colours. Liked a lot

  1. Love by the River – Jenny Enderby

Good technique, nice colour contrast- a wee bit crooked but didn’t bother him. Lights from building in top of frame were quite dominating and he thought there could have been a bit more river

  1. Moonlight Bay – Phil Thornton

Great technique exhibited, beautiful contrast & colour control; very subtle. The longer you looked the more the green and red beacons showed up (which he found great). Very beautiful & peaceful

  1. Sounds Around – Nikki Bylett

A good guitar shot, was it a guitar or a bass? Lighting on it very nice. Found the music notes too strong over the top of the great guitar, and thought they should have been smaller, and less dominant

  1. Spiral Fire – Sheila Russell

Great abstract, simple and strong photo. Loved the little sparks an insect like feature? Takes on a quality of its own

7

  1. Spotify – Anne Thornton

Zoom effect great for the colors but he found his eye was ending up going to the centre of the zoom, where there was nothing to concentrate on. Interesting, but disappointing and wishy washy

  1. The Totara and the Milky Way – Sheila Russell

Terrific technique, great colours, strong, subtle, loved it

  1. Tower in Paris – Ben Blackman

Nice image of tower, extra points if we could guess the name of it! Ok, quite nice

4

  1. Trig Station Rotation – Alistair Morrow

Tremendous impact of star trail with colours and loved the lighting. But let down by grass in foreground and colour of trig, pale blue seemed out of place
